Next, you will need to delete the configuration files for WNC. Scroll through the list to find and select Write-N-Cite (signified by an orange icon), then click Remove and follow the prompts. 
From here, navigate to Add or Remove Programs. Please make sure Microsoft Word is completely closed, then go to Start > Control Panel. You will need to uninstall WNC4 from the Windows Control Panel.
First, make sure Microsoft Word is completely closed. If you are planning to reinstall WNC4, please restart your computer before proceeding. WNC4 should now be completely removed from your computer. (Please note: you may only have a RefWorks-COS folder in one of your Program Files folders). Then go to C:\Program Files and delete the RefWorks-COS folder here as well. Next, go to C:\Program Files (x86) and find the RefWorks-COS folder. 
Select and delete all of the files that start with "wnc."

At the bottom of the folder, you should see a series of files that start with "wnc." (If you don't see these files, go to Organize > Folder and search options, click on the View tab, and make sure Show hid den files, folders, and drives is selected). This should load your Local AppData folder in Windows Explorer. Press the Start button, and in the Search programs and files box type %locala ppdata% and press enter.
Next, you will need to delete WNC's configuration files from two folders on your computer. Scroll through the list to find and select Write-N-Cite (signified by an orange icon), then click Uninstall and follow the prompts. From here, navigate to Programs and Features.
